Student Project Grants 2015 - 2016

1. R&D Project grant of Rs. 40,000/= to Dr. Leon Ittiachan / Mrs. Rehna K. Rathnam from "The Institution of Engineers, India" for the project entitled "Development of a noval Fermentative Microbial fuel cell for production of renewable energy from insoluble agricultural waste".

2. Project Titled "Automatic Civil Supply Transaction System" from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department by Eby Tony, Jackson Chacko, Athiura Ravindran and Hemilda Jose obtained project grant of Rs. 3,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. The project was guided by Mr. Vishnu Rajan.

3. Project Titled "Anti-Skid control for bikes" from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department by Ajesh Wilson, Ansu Anto, Chippy M. Glenny, Darshana Mohanan and Harikrishnan C P obtained project grant of Rs. 12,500 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. The project was guided by Ms. Jesin James.

Student Project Grants 2014 - 2015

1. Project Titled "Artificial voice for aphonic society" of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department by Anjaly p J, Jees Mathan, Pramitha T P, Rosmy Ouseph and Sibin Leo. Mrs. Ambily Francis (Guide) obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

2. Project Titled "Intelligent Security System for Women" from Bio Medical Engineering Department byAnjaly Cherian V, Annet Antony, Mishal Antony, Rosemary Babu and Harsha Sebastian obtained project grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.. The project was guided by Mrs. Remya George.

3. Project Titled "Robotic Intelligent Toy" of Biomedical Engineering Department by Femimol Tomy, Jith John, Jishly Johny, Niya James and Vimi Varghese. Mrs. Reshma Anoop (Guide) obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

4. Project Titled "L.I.F.E. - Locked In-Syndrome Freeing Equipment" of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department by Ann Maria Joy, Ronio Raphel, Sharath Menon, Sharlet George and Sudhina Razak. Mr. Santhosh Kumar M S (Guide) obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

5. Project Titled "Intelligent helmet for Industrial security" of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department by Belfin Vincent, Britto Devassy, Maria Varghese A, Sibin Babu and Ashitha E B. Ms. Anju Babu (Guide) obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

6. Project Titled "Intelligent walking stick for blind" of Bio Medical Engineering Department by Fathima Salam, Faraasha K. A., Sarika M. Nair, Robin Rappai and Regina K.. Mr.Jis Paul (Guide) obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

7. Project Titled "Air Actuated Mnemonic hand prossthesis" of Bio Medical Engineering Department by Mr. Ashish Sundar(Guide), Jibin Jose, Meera Alex, Mithu Sreedharan, Rosemary James T and Anu Johnson obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

8. Project Titled "Text to Braille Convertor" of Bio Medical Engineering Department by Ms. Sony N. S. (Guide), Muhammed Rahuf, Gishnu S. Babu, Mariya Ittiachan, Hasia Habeeb and Pooja Prasad obtained a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment

9. Project titled " In silico Study of anticancer activity pigment isolated from actinomycetes" of Bio Technology Department by Dr. Ambili Mechoor (guide) , Ms. Celine Thomas and Ms. Jaslin P James obtained an amount of Rs. 10,000/- from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

10. Project titled " Autonomous vehicle safe guard system " of Department of Electronics and Communication by Mr. Vishnu Rajan (Guide) and Mr. Mosses Johnson received an amount of Rs.15,000/- from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment.

11. Project titeld "Intelligent Walking Aid for Blind" by Robin Rappai, Farashaa, Fathima, Regina, and Sarika of Bio Medical Engineering received an amount of Rs. 20,000 from Kerala State Commissionerate for Persons With Disabilities . Mr. Jis Paul (Faculty. Biomedical Department) is the guide for this projcect.

12. Project titeld "Fault detection in Distribution line system of Protection System" by Sara Sunny, Anumol Jose, Nithalal P. B., Joseph Jose and Jithin K. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering received an amount of Rs. 10,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. Mr. Ramakrishnan P. E. (Faculty, Electrical and Electronics Department) is the guide for this projcect.

13. Project titeld "Dynamic Power Optimization using Voltage Optimization" by Ajith A., Asha C. V., John P. Johny, Jibin Johny and Doncy K. John of Electrical and Electronics Engineering received an amount of Rs. 10,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. Ms.Ashna Mohan (Faculty, Electrical and Electronics Department) is the guide for this projcect.

14. Project titeld "Smart Accident Detection and Case taking System" by Alex Jose, Aparna Dev, Christeena Thomas, Fathima Salam and Yasmin N. M. of Biomedical Engineering received a grant of Rs. 15,000 from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment. Mrs. Smitha N. Pai, Asst. Professor in Biomedical Engineering Department guided this projcect.

1. Project Titled "Myoelectric  arm-an aid for metacarpal amputees" of Bio Medical Engineering Department by Amy Jiffy,Mishal Antony, FahadK.P, Annet Antony and Nidhin P. Mr.AshishSundar(Guide) obtained a grant of Rs. 10,000 from Malayala Manoram Yuva Mastermind Project Contest

2. Project Titled "Myoelectric Augmented therapeutic device for hand spasiticity" from Bio Medical Engineering Department by Vishnu V,Sujith Kumar, Chaithra Mohandas and Anu Jose obtained project grant of Rs. 10,000 from KCSTE. The project was guided by Mrs. Sony N.S(Guide)
